Breaking new ground
in Potlatch
Changes are coming to Potlatch
Family Care, and residents will enjoy
a bigger, better clinic before the end
of the year.
On Wednesday, May 21, about
70 business leaders, local elected
officials and members of the public
joined Gritman Medical Center’s ad-
ministration, board of directors and
staff for a groundbreaking ceremony
at the new Potlatch Family Care loca-
tion, 150 N. Sixth St.
Kara Besst, Gritman President
and CEO, said the new facility
underscores Gritman’s commit-
ment to serve the healthcare needs
of all Latah County residents. The
new 2,400-square-foot building will
have three exam rooms and one
procedure room and will be easier
to access than the current location.

Quality care for a growing community
The upgraded facility will also better
accommodate both scheduled and
walk-in appointments and offer bet-
ter privacy.
Potlatch Mayor David Brown
thanked Gritman Medical for their
commitment to building the new
facility, noting that it will be a great
addition to Potlatch.
Associated Architects, LLP, de-
signed the building, and Sprenger
Construction will build it. In the
meantime, Gritman’s existing clinic
at 225 N. Sixth St. will remain
open as usual. Photos of the event,
as well as a site plan and render-
ings, are available at

Clinic provider spotlight:
Jennifer
Davis, PA-C,
Potlatch
Family Care
Jennifer Davis,
PA-C, has served
as the health-
care provider at
Potlatch Family
Care for almost
two years. She holds an associate
degree as a physical therapy assistant
from Gateway College in Kenosha,
Wisconsin, and a master’s degree
in clinical health services-physician
assistant from the University of
Washington.
Davis is known around the com-
munity for her friendly and outgoing
personality, which is both welcom-
ing and comforting for her patients.
During community events, such
as Potlatch Community Day or the
Christmas parade, it’s common to hear
glowing reviews from community
members about the clinic and its staff.
Working in Potlatch provides Da-
vis the opportunity to build personal
connections with her patients. “I
like to get to know the whole fam-
ily,” she says. “In small towns you
get to know the community. I like to
have time with my patients and get
to know [them], and I love coming
into town and having people wave
to me. I love feeling like part of the
community.”
In addition to the strong sense of
community in Potlatch, Davis also
loves the scenic landscapes around
the town. “I knew about Potlatch
before getting the job,” Davis says. “I
knew it was a pretty place.”
